About
I am a newcomer in the field; hence the name of the blog.
In this blog I want to discuss some issues of computer vision, digital image analysis, visual image search etc. The attitude is reflected in the name of the blog. Have you ever looked at computer vision techniques and asked yourself, does it have to be this complicated? Often the answer is yes. However, numerous problems can be solved by very elementary means.
It is my opinion that computer vision needs more thought on the low, fundamental, “dumb”, level. It needs more mathematics! Here is an example. Take a look at the logo on the right - square, circle, and triangle. How many objects should the computer see? The “obvious” answer is wrong…
Some of the posts will be transformed into articles in Computer Vision Wiki.
I also want to communicate our most recent developments - software, site, wiki, etc - to the user community and receive quick feedback.
Unless otherwise indicated the posts are written by me.
