Pixcavator open source
From Intelligent Perception
The output contains the most fundamental data about the image: a list of all objects in the image along with their measurements, locations, and other characteristics. This allows anyone with Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 to create new software based on the methods presented in this site. To understand the algorithms, read from the top - Binary Images, Grayscale Images, etc.
This particular version of Pixcavator is for analysis binary images only. For all details and the complete source code, see Binary images - implementation.
This package as presented is licensed for educational purposes only.
To see possible applications read Image analysis examples.
For other options see Pixcavator SDK.
As for other open source image analysis software, here's my thinking: Releasing (just) the code makes good theater but lazy science. Release the algorithms and explain the math behind the code, then we’ll have something to talk about!
